Lovers express their true emotions everyday but Valentines Day is a bonus. It’s a time to show love and appreciation or your partner, a reciprocal exchange of sweet messages with simple or lavish gifts. It extends to other family members also, my mum (rest in power)always sent us, her children cards and gifts every year, our bond has always been very strong.
There are many loving couples who don’t celebrate on Valentines Day, or just don’t choose to put the effort in, to each it’s own as it’s not for everyone. It’s nice being surprised, loved,cherished, adored, and appreciated.
