There has been talks of a five days release from restrictions so that extended families can celebrate together, but in doing so it could mean England will have an extra month in lockdown.
Senior Medical Director / Adviser Dr Susan Hopkins informed us that: “We are very keen that we have a Christmas as close to normal as possible, it requires all of us to make every effort over this national restriction period and even in early December to get the cases as low as possible and to reduce the risk of transmission within households and between families”
Dr Susan Hopkins added: “This would come at the cost of tougher rules before and after 25 December, initially claiming that every day of relaxed measures would need to be counterbalanced with two days of restrictions.

In other news the Furlough Scheme will be extended to 2nd December, and all places of work must be COVID secure, but mainly working from home is the best option where required.
The New Lockdown Rules in England
Travelling is allowed to meet your support bubble, but in general socialising must be within your own household only, in group no larger than 6 people, social distancing throughout. Legal or exemptions are made when necessary, and supervised activities for under 18’s. You can exercise or take a walk close to your home. School, Colleges and Universities will remain open but no extra curricular classes or activities will be available. Places of worship will also remain open. There are set rules for the Severely Clinically Vulnerable Group, they have have to remain shielded, and advised to stay at home. Weddings and funeral services can still go ahead. Wearing masks is still mandatory on buses, trains and almost everywhere outside.

It’s saddening to hear that many people from all over the world are still dying from Coronavirus, at present the government has confirmed that 584 people in the UK has died, and there is now almost 12,000 people who are confirmed as having the Coronavirus.
