Google is launching a new short format video app called YouTube Shorts exclusively to India in a few days before eventually rolling it out to other countries.

YouTube Shorts offers a short format video experience in the main YouTube app, where a create button offers the user the option to upload a 15 second video, using a multi-segment camera, there’s a new set of creator tools, a timer, speed controls and the option to access and include music to videos. YouTube is currently working with music artists, publishers and labels also.
YouTube explained that: The new feature is rolling out in India over the next few days. It characterizes YouTube Shorts as a test it aims to learn from, with the goal of expanding access and improving the product over time.
