Iyanla Vanzant is an American Inspirational Speaker, Best-Selling Author, New Thought Spiritual Teacher, Lawyer, Life Coach and Television Personality, with a popular talk show “Fix My Life” Iyanla was known for her appearances on Oprah Winfrey’s Talk Show. 

Iyanla was ordained in the Yoruba tradition as a Minister, and was titled Great mother and the high priestess of healthy relationships, and all of her books are motivational, inspirational and self-empowering.

I remember some time ago when my mum and I used to watch Iyanla on the Oprah Winfrey Show, her topics sparked many interesting debates, as we nodded along in agreement, and…”Yes” to what she was saying, as we also nodded in unison.

It was also really thoughtful of my aunt to give us all (sisters) a copy of Acts Of Faith, an amazing book and unlike any other of that time, it being refreshingly bold, refined and enlightening, that I carried that book in my handbag for years until it looked… Battered.

Iyanla is amazing, inspirational, and still very successful. she is still my favourite Author and also another great example of Black Excellence!
